Here's a question for y'all library-type folks:

What library blogs do you read?
What other library news sources do you follow on a regular basis?
Where do you contribute to the online library community?
Do you read
-- to learn information about libraries?
-- to get advice on running your library?
-- to learn more about building your career?
-- because you think of the people you read as your online buddies?
Do you contribute
-- because you have opinions of which you'd like to convince people?
-- to be helpful?
-- for networking / as a careeer move?
How do you find the library resources you read on a regular basis?
Do you think you're better at what you do because you keep on top of library blogs?

I feel rather inferior in my librarian-ness now, but I must admit that the only library blog I read is library_mofo

What library blogs do you read?
Holy $DEITY, a lot of them! Go to http://bloglines.com/public/cavlec/ (http://bloglines.com/public/cavlec/), click on the Librariana folder, and see for yourself.

What other library news sources do you follow on a regular basis?
I skim American Libraries and read anything in ITAL that looks interesting.

Where do you contribute to the online library community?
Librariana is becoming the CavLec Category that Ate Neo-Tokyo. I may have to split it up. I also comment at various other library blogs.

Um, a, c, and d? Not b only because I don't run a library. Yet. (Insert evil laughter here.)

Do you contribute
-- because you have opinions of which you'd like to convince people?
-- to be helpful?
-- for networking / as a career move?

All of the above.

How do you find the library resources you read on a regular basis?
Recommendations from other bloggers, serendipity, because someone emails me to say hi.

Do you think you're better at what you do because you keep on top of library blogs?
I wouldn't know half what I know if I didn't. I have no freakin' idea if I'm good at what I do in this sphere yet, but when I get an idea, I'll let you know.
