Name:deborah
Website:Suberic Networks
I'm a freelance software engineer and accessibility expert, working as Suberic Networks. I have been the Accessibility Team co-lead here at Dreamwidth, and a general programmer, but it's been several years since I was a regular contributor here. I'm an invited expert at the World Wide Web Consortium, on the Publishing Working Group, and I'm on the EPUB 3 Community Group.

I've also been an archivist, a digital librarian, and the instructor for Fantasy and Science Fiction in the Center for the Study of Children's Literature at Simmons College.

My background is in software, accessibility, libraries and archives, and children's literature. Those aren't all connected, sadly. My main topics of conversation in this blog are the intersection of libraries and new technology, accessibility, coding, children's and young adult literature, science fiction and fantasy, romance novels, reviewing, reference, open access, and digitization. I also discuss my academic work in children's literature, romance, fan studies, and computer science.

Or I might just point out shiny things.
