As I start to more consciously think about alt text in life: What is a good descriptor for protest photos where there are a large number of people pictured? Do I hypothesize/guess at how many people there are in the photo? Do I also transcribe the signs people are holding that I can easily read? Do I try to transcribe the signs I can partially read, but am uncertain what the full meaning is supposed to say?
