it's so true, isn't it? They aren't good, charitable folk if they are working alongside us instead of for us. And I want to say, "no, what you are doing is really important, and thank you, but it's only successful if we are part of the conversation and the process!" At which point I get accused of ingratitude, and everything goes to hell.
