My oldest daughter has a passion for testing out her roleplaying characters on those litmus tests; she detests Mary Sue characters and wants to avoid them. We've had to discuss, though, how a character can score high and not be a Mary Sue. I should probably give her this book when it comes out so she has a real-life example.
