I was surprised by Hunger Games, which was one of the few books I managed to read for pleasure this fall. I expected to like it, not to adore it.

And oh, yes, this strange rush of science fiction young adult novels from prominent bloggers. Can we credit Scott Westerfeld and Justine Larbalestier for making it trendy?
